Sara Abdelhai is a contemporary realist painter based in Doha, Qatar. Born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1984, she grew up surrounded by the rich history and artistic heritage of the ancient city, which continues to inspire her work. Her distinctive style captures the essence of joy, peace, and the vibrant spirit of Arabian culture.With a deep passion for storytelling through art, Sara brings to life picturesque landscapes, dynamic portrayals of Arabian horses, and expressive portraits. Her use of bold compositions and harmonious yet contrasting colors creates a visual language that speaks to both tradition and modernity."As an artist, I am a storyteller, and I invite you to join me on this visual journey," she explains. From an early age, she embraced the belief that “you can create anything once you see it in your mind.”Sara studied art for two years at the Egyptian Faculty of Art before choosing to continue her education independently. She pursued professional training in pastel, oil, and charcoal painting while also exploring fashion design. Alongside her artistic pursuits, she earned a degree from Cairo University’s Faculty of Law.Since moving to Doha in 2011, Sara has exhibited her work in various prestigious events, including:The Third Exhibition of Traditional Handicrafts in Katara Katara National Day of Qatar Celebrations Katara International Arabian Horse Festival In addition to her fine art career, Sara has been sharing her passion for creativity as a children's drawing instructor since 2017. She was also selected to participate in the beautification of 5/6 Park, a significant public art project under the supervision of the Ashghal Authority, where she collaborated with fellow artists to paint a mural marking the park’s opening.Sara is an active member of the ART Academy Center in Doha, a creative forum that fosters collaboration and support among independent artists in Qatar.Through her art, Sara continues to celebrate culture, tradition, and the beauty of the world around her—one brushstroke at a time.
