How does it work?

Select your artist. Set your budget, describe your ideal artwork, and choose a completion date. Your chosen artist will either accept your offer or reach out to discuss your requirements further through the artQart messaging system. You can even upload images for inspiration.

Once the commission is accepted, you’ll pay a deposit to get the process started, and once you’re happy with the final piece, you’ll pay the remaining balance.

Stay Updated with Regular Progress

After the artist accepts the job, they will keep you updated with regular photos and progress reports via artQart’s messaging system, so you’re involved every step of the way.

How can I commission an artist?

You’ll find a ‘Commission artwork’ button on the storefront and artwork listings of any artist that accepts commissions. If you don’t see that button, feel free to contact the artist directly by clicking the ‘Contact’ button on their store to inquire about custom work.

How do I pay for a commissioned artwork?

Once an artist agrees to take on your commission, a member of artQart’s team will be in touch to arrange payment of a non-refundable deposit. This deposit will typically be between 30% and 50% of the final artwork value, depending on what is agreed between you and the artist.

The artist will begin work on your commission once the deposit is received, and you’ll pay the remaining balance once the artwork is complete.

How can I track the progress of my commissioned artwork?

Your artist will provide you with regular photos and updates via artQart’s messaging system, so you can stay involved throughout the creative process.

Can I return a commissioned artwork?

Unfortunately, returns are not accepted for commissioned artworks. However, if the artwork arrives in a condition that does not meet expectations, we’ll work with you to resolve any issues.

How much will it cost?

The price will be negotiated between you and the artist. You can set your budget when you first commission the artwork, and the artist will collaborate with you to agree on a fair price.

Promotional codes cannot be applied to custom commissions, as the price is negotiated directly with the artist. They only apply to listed artwork sold at full price.
