Artist:Bakri Bilal


A Sudanese artist and art teacher, specialized in Painting. Influenced by his Sudanese heritage, history, life and women. Started with reality then turned to figurative abstraction which related to African and Nubian Sudanese ethnicities. For a certain time, he was considered as one of the pillars of “Khartoum School” art school, established by Shibrain (1931 - 2017), which was known by its’ rich using of Sufi symbols, Arabic letter calligraphy and shapes of local ornaments. His composition distinguished by the use of bright colors and strong lines.
